Whatsapp enables 'reply privately' features by mistake

WhatsApp mistakenly rolled out the ‘Reply Privately’ feature in a beta update that will allow users to privately send a message to a participant in a group without anyone else knowing about it. According to Express.co.uk, the hotly-anticipated feature is under development and could be rolled out with other features as well. The feature appeared and was subsequently dropped from the beta version of the app, watcher of the popular chat app @WABetaInfo said, confirming that the developers wrongly enabled the feature. “In the new WhatsApp beta for Windows Phone 2.17.344 the private reply feature is disabled. Whatsapp sued with legal notice over middle finger emoji

WhatsApp received a legal notice from a Delhi-based advocate (lawyer) on Tuesday over the "middle finger" emoji on its platform. The lawyer has asked WhatsApp to remove the said emoji in less than 15 days from the messaging app, and that he will file civil or criminal cases against the company if it is not removed. He says the the middle finger emoji on WhatsApp is an obscene and lewd gesture - which is an offence in India. In the notice, the advocate said: "...showing the middle finger is not only offensive but a highly belligerent, invasive, obscene, lewd gesture." "As per the Indian Penal Code Sections 354 and 509, it is an offence to show obscene, lewd, offensive gestures to females. Use of a lewd, offensive, obscene gesture by anyone is hereby illegal also as aforesaid. Shatta Wale is catching a lot of flak following a video of him viciously attacking his own bodyguard at the S-Concert held at the Accra Sports Stadium. From the clip, the dancehall singer is seen performing on stage when a fan climbed onto the stage and reached for the singer’s leg. Impulsively, one of the bodyguards rushed at the excited fan and shoved him away from the singer’s reach, and this apparently upset Shatta Wale who slapped the bodyguard so viciously his mask fell off.
